We offer three levels of cover so that you can choose the one that's right for you.
AXA Local Breakdown Cover includes up to one hour of roadside assistance or repair, if your vehicle has broken down more than 1 mile from your home. If we can't repair your vehicle, we will take you, your passengers and your vehicle to a garage or destination of your choice, up to 20 miles from where you broke down.
AXA Nationwide Breakdown Cover provides all benefits of our Local Cover, as well as recovery of you, your passengers and your vehicle anywhere in the UK. Or, we can offer overnight accommodation or car hire for up to 24 hours.
AXA Nationwide + Homestart Breakdown Cover provides all the benefits of our Nationwide and Local Covers, as well as assistance if you break down within a mile from your home.

Motor Breakdown Cover provides you with protection and reassurance whilst you're driving on the road. If your car breaks down, we will send one of our recovery operators to try and fix the problem and get you moving again.

If you've broken down, please make sure you're in a safe place, and as far left off the road as you can be. Stay well away from moving traffic. Put your hazard warning lights on and leave your vehicle using the nearside doors. If you are on the motorway, move over to the hard shoulder (if you can) and follow the above guidelines. If you break down in an outside lane, please stay in the vehicle and call the emergency services, as well as your break down provider.
AXA provides assistance to 90% of motor breakdowns within one hour. If you've broken down and hold either Nationwide & Home or European policy, you can use our online claim registration tool – e-Rescue - and recovery will be sent to you as quickly as possible.
